Dessert Rose is the folk name for rough Gypsum stone. This material is used in many things, including some types of construction. With some processing of course.
These make a lovely additionto a bowl or altar piece for spells for beauty or spirituality. I have one in my collection of stones at the base of a small fountain in my altar area. I love the water element and the sound, and the energies of the stones is wonderful.
Note: Make sure you don't put this one into the water! It would sort of melt over time.
