I have begun doing stained glass technique on bottles and chalices again! I finally have a new studio space, and the time to work.
This bottle is a very deep, almost black glass. The metal work is stained glass, lead-free solder. The patina is a steel gray/black. On the top, there are 3 tumbled obsidians, and 1 black onyx point. The top stone, on the cork is a large, garnet!
I love how this one turned out. It reminds me of a bottle you'd see in a fairy tale or a movie. I love the old-world look.
The bottle height, WITH the stopper, is about 9.5" tall. With the stopper removed, it is about 8 inches tall.
Note: I used stained glass materials to make this. For this reason, the cork is no longer food safe. I used flux and solder to attach the stone, and cork can absorb the flux. For this reason, this one is for decor or witchcraft, but not for foods.
