Kambaba Jasper, also known as Crocodile Jasper, is an extremely old stone, dating back to 3 billion years ago. This is actually not a true Jasper - it is actually a fossil, but is generally referred to by stone collectors as a Jasper. The stone is classified as a stomatolite, that comes from a chunk of fossilized algae.
Kambaba is found in South Africa, Madagascar and the small sea that divides these two countries.
